Dementia Modelling (DeMo) is a 4-year European project between King’s College London in the United Kingdom and the company Biomediq A/S in Denmark. The project aims to (1) develop novel, easily accessible quantitative imaging biomarkers (QIBs) of vascular and white matter pathologies, and (2) to utilize these novel QIBs in conjunction with existing QIBs to explicitly model both the Alzheimer’s disease and the vascular dementia aspect of mixed dementia jointly.
The project is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network European Industrial Doctorates (MSCA-ITN-EID) in which 3 PhD students will be trained in advanced medical image analysis and quantitative modelling while performing the research objectives of the project.
